Great Leaders Inspire

Walt Stasinski, after earning Masters Degrees in Education from Wayne State University and Public Health from University of Michigan, began his real education in the school of hard knocks. His early “speaking” career began as a teacher and football coach at Wayne State University. “This is where I learned how to motivate and inspire, says Stasinski. After a number of years, Walt was eager to find another growth opportunity. He found that opportunity in the healthcare industry directing programs at hospitals including the Wellness Initiative for 10,000 employees at Beaumont Hospital in Royal Oak, Michigan. Walt is President of Potential Unlimited. Today, he travels all over the country speaking to audiences of all sizes and interests. He refers to himself as a “solutions” speaker because although he prides himself on keeping his audience entertained with comedy and even magic tricks, his primary goal is to help people achieve success by providing them with solutions for their own unique challenges.

Session Description: What is the difference between a good leader and a great leader? Good leaders motivate employees through reason. Great leaders utilize the power of inspiration to move employees to higher levels of performance. In the 20th Century, leaders adopted the ‘command and control’ approach which, originally, was developed in the military. The 21st Century requires leaders who can inspire their people to high levels of performance. You will be given practical ideas that you can start using on an everyday basis. These strategies are not theories, but real-life tips that are being incorporated by successful leaders throughout the country.
