3 Resident Activities: Reaching What Lives Sponsored by Omnicare Pharmacies of Missouri Michelle Niedens, LSCSW, Director of Education, Programs and Public Policy Alzheimer’s Association - Heart of America Chapter, has served as Director of Education, Programs and Public Policy for the Heart of America Chapter of the Alzheimer’s Association since January 2001. Her responsibilities include providing and coordinating educational opportunities for all those involved in the Alzheimer’s experience, directing program services as well as assisting in advocacy efforts in addressing the needs of this vulnerable population. She holds both bachelors and masters degree in social work from the University of Kansas and has spent the majority of her 26 years in social work working with individuals in geriatric psychiatric settings. She also teaches social work practice at the University of Kansas. Session Description: Learn how to integrate Kitwood’s 12 Indicators of Quality of Life into your planned activities for residents.
