Participants must receive approval in order to attend this workshop. Those wishing to attend must submit to MALA a completed application form, detailed resume, copy of nursing license, copy of Social Security card and the workshop fee. Application deadline is two weeks prior to the workshop date.

QUALIFICATIONS:  Department of Health & Senior Services regulations state the following
(19 CSR 30-84.030(10)):

  • Currently licensed RN or LPN with the State of Missouri

  • Shall have had 1 years experience within the past 5 years in a long term care facility, or

  • Shall be currently employed in a long term care facility and shall have been employed in that facility for at least 6 months, or

  • Shall be an instructor in a health occupations education program.

  • LPNs must also meet the following requirements:

    • Shall not be waivered

    • Shall be a graduate of an accredited practical nursing program which has pharmacology in the curriculum.

Class Location: MALA's office is located on the 2nd floor in the MO Chamber of Commerce Buidling at 428 E. Capitol Avenue in Jefferson City. Class is held in adjoining training room.

Required Course Materials: Instructor manuals are necessary for the class and must be ordered from the Instructional Materials Laboratory in Columbia, MO. The approximate cost is $43.05 (includes shipping/handling and sales tax). To order call 800-669-2465, please allow sufficient time for shipping. Manuals will not be available at the class.

*(Includes a 30 minute Insulin Administration Instructor course following the LIMA seminar)
